Eugenia E. Unrath, age 92 of the Town of Belle Plaine, passed away Friday, November 30, 2012 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 27, 1920 in Milwaukee, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Josephine (DeYoung) Wellworth. On May 30, 1953 she was united in marriage to Howard J. Unrath at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Milwaukee. Eugenia worked as an accountant for NW Mutual Insurance Company as well as a homemaker. She took great pride in her children and later her grandchildren. She had served as Treasurer of the Cub Scouts, President of the Mother's Club of DeMolay and was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano. In her free time, Eugenia enjoyed attending Bible study, going to Senior Swim group, knitting, weaving, sewing and skating. Eugenia is survived by: her husband of 59 years, Howard; 3 daughters, Karen Tiemann of Appleton, Sandra Unrath of Madison, Lynn (Mike) Mulholland of Greenville; 2 sons, Russell of Milwaukee, Carl (Liz) of Merrill; and 5 grandchildren, Philip, Paul and Theresa Tiemann, Katie and Lindsay Mulholland. A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00pm on Friday, December 7, 2012 at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with the Rev. Charles Daily officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00pm until the time of the service.
