Evelyn K. Bowman, age 66 of Bowler, passed away in Milwaukee on Monday, August 22, 2022. She was born in Keshena on October 16, 1955, the daughter of the late Quinton and Evelyn (McGee) Bowman.  Evelyn lived in Milwaukee most of her life, spending her later years in Bowler, on the Stockbridge Munsee Reservation. She had a strong spirit, a zest for life, an unbreakable faith, and a fierce love for animals. Her favorite pastime was spending time with family and friends. Evelyn was a mother to all, opening her heart and home to many.

She is survived by her children, Catherine Bowman, Cathleen Bowman, Everleen Bowman, Lenarae (Tyrell) Hall, and Jeanette Bowman; numerous grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her siblings, Prena Wollenhaup, Quinton (Shirley) Bowman, Harold (Debra) Bowman, Keith (Karla) Bowman, Stephanie Bowman, and Bertha Shepard; life-long friends, Phyllis, Tina, and Janet. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Evelyn is preceded in death by her son, Keith Bowman; her parents; two brothers, Frank, and John; a sister in infancy; two grandchildren Keithsha and Zana.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at Church of the Wilderness with Pastor Paul Johnson officiating. Visitation will be held at 11:00 am at the church until the time of service. Burial will be in the Stockbridge Indian Burial Grounds.
