Obituary

Faith K. (Preston) Teetzen, age 80, of Shawano, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2026, while on hospice in Green Bay. She rests peacefully now in the arms of the Lord. Faith was born on September 15, 1945, in Birmingham, England to the late Alan and Janet Preston. She grew up in Beverly, Massachusetts and graduated from Beverly High School in 1963 where she was a successful competitive swimmer. She loved music and learned to play the violin, taught by Arthur Fiedler. She also had an adventurous side in her youth and enjoyed diving for lobster traps and drag-racing cars with her brother David. On December 23, 1967, she was united in marriage to Richard “Rich” Teetzen in Beverly. Together the couple enjoyed life out east, they loved square dancing and spending time with their girls. In 1979 they moved their young family to Shawano, Wisconsin. Faith was a dedicated wife and mother and served as a Girl Scout Leader and 4-H Leader for many years; participating in the Shawano County 4-H Dog Project. She enjoyed knitting and painting in her free time and was a lover of all animals, especially dogs.

Faith is survived by her husband of 58 years, Rich Teetzen; daughter, Cynthia (J.R.) Schoenfeld and Rebecca (Scott) Blumreich; grandchildren, Jessica Morse, Nicholas (Charlotte) Morse, Lucas (Deanna) Schoenfeld, Kathleen (Bailey Sorensen) Blumreich and Gabriel Blumreich; great-grandchildren, Nolan, Marshall, Matilda, Finley, Dylan and Isabella; a sister, Patricia Davey of West Midlands, England; and her beloved dog, Lily. She is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews, including special nephew Robert (June) Preston as well as other relatives and friends in both the United States and England.

Faith is preceded in death by a son, Thomas Nathaniel Teetzen in infancy; siblings, Donald Davey, David Preston and Sylvia Vincent; and parents, Alan and Janet Preston.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at the River Valley Assembly of God Church in Shawano with Pastor Marc Keliher officiating. Visitation will be held at church on Tuesday from 9:30 am until time of the service. Burial will be in St. Jakobi Lutheran Cemetery.

Faith’s family would like to extend their thanks to the care givers at Aurora Bay Care. Under their care she was comfortable and passed away with grace and dignity.
