Obituary

Frances "Fran" Johnson, age 77 of Shawano, passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2018 in Appleton. Born in Panama on March 28, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Frances (Goodloe) Yarber.  On February 9, 1963, Frances was united in marriage to Lawrence "Larry" Johnson in Missouri.  The couple moved to Shawano in 1964 and Fran worked at the Bonduel School District as a Speech Therapist until her retirement.  She was a member of the Bonduel Retired Teachers and Friends of Shawano County Library as well as volunteered at the Shawano Middle School and Shawano Hospital.  She enjoyed traveling, reading, collecting dolls and watching her grandchildren's activities.
Fran is survived by: her husband of 55 years, Larry; three children, Lori (George) Goltz of Friendship, Linda (Mike) Naparalla of Shawano and Rob (Terri) Johnson of Appleton; four grandchildren, Hannah and Leah Goltz and Logan and Spencer Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30pm on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with Rev. Loretta Waegli officiating. Inurnment will be in Lake Drive Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home in Shawano on Wednesday from noon until the time of the service.
