Frances Marie Lyles, age 92 of Shawano, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2013 in Shawano. Born on June 22, 1921 in Devil's Lake, ND, she was one of twelve children born to the late Nickolas and Monica (Baron) Karlinsky. As a teenager, Frances and her family moved to the Milwaukee area where she graduated from high school and later worked at Reliable Knitting. On November 3, 1944 she was united in marriage to Ralph J. Lyles in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death on June 8, 2007. Frances worked for a time at Muskego Beach Amusement Park. When not at work, she enjoyed doing needlepoint, knitting, collecting numerous knickknacks and other collectibles, tending to her house plants and flower gardening. Frances is survived by: 5 grandchildren, Susan Fleming, Shannon Otto, Anthony, Steven, Daniel; 15 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Frances was preceded in death by: her husband, Ralph; her son, Ralph N. Lyles; her parents; and all of her brothers and sisters. Private family services were held.
