Frances "Jeannie" Margaret Pyawasay, age 87 of Keshena, passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2018 in Shawano. Jeannie was born in Keshena on February 21, 1931, daughter of the late Henry and Grace (Grignon) Martin. On December 31, 1949, Jeannie was united in marriage to Glenn George Pyawasay in Keshena. George preceded her in death on June 10, 2001. Jeannie lived in the Keshena area all her life and was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church. She was a Green Bay Packer fan and enjoyed making Nanapun bread and God's eyes.
Frances is survived by: one daughter, Cheryl Pyawasay of Keshena; 13 grandchildren, Darwin (Amanda) Pyawasay, Daryl (Crystal) Pyawasay, Michelle (Lowell) Powell, Tina (Michael) Williams, Laura Waupoose, Candy (David) Mahkimetas, David (Daniel) Bailargeon-Pyawasay, Chad Nunway, Gary (Catherine) Pyawasay, Maniyan (Becky) Pyawasay and Sasanehsaeh Pyawasay; 26 great-grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren including special great great-grandson, Noah; as well as two sisters, Clara Stone and Grace Martin.
She was preceded in by: her children, Martin Pyawasay, Glenn Pyawasay, Jr., two infant sons, Warren and Henry; her husband, Glenn; her parents; and her siblings, Franklin Martin, Lorraine Boivin, Wayne Martin, Theresa Martin and Augustine Lloyd.
Funeral Mass for Jeannie will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Keshena with Rev. Nonito Barra officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at Father David Barrett Hall beginning at 4:00 pm on Monday, October 1, 2018 until the time of the service on Wednesday. A parish wake service will be held on Tuesday evening.
