Obituary

Francis T. Dahse, age 94, of Gresham, died on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 in Shawano. Born on June 18, 1922 in Gresham, he is the son of the late Frank and Jenny (Little) Dahse.  Francis served our country during World War II in the 71st infantry of the Army.  He was awarded the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star before being honorably discharged.  Francis lived in the Gresham area most of his life and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Gresham, Gresham American Legion Post #390, the D. A. V., the Military Order of the Purple Heart and active with the Shawano County Humane Society.
Francis is survived by two step-sons, Gary Pingel of New Mexico and Byron Dahse of Shawano as well as one sister Marge Figie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, April 7, 2017 at Swedberg Funeral Home in Gresham with Rev. John C. Eyer officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the Gresham American Legion Post #390. Burial will be in the Gresham Public Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 9:30 am until the time of the service.
