Freda Pauline Krueger, age 100, of Bonduel, passed away on April 26, 2018 at Kindred Hearts in Shawano. She was born on December 30, 1917, the fourth of seven children, to the late John and Emma (Gogolin) Brackob. Freda was a 1936 graduate of Shawano High School and on April 13, 1941 was united in marriage to Robert H. Krueger at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano. Robert preceded her in death on September 12, 1961. In 1962, Freda was hired as a secretary to the superintendent of schools for the Bonduel School District where she worked for 42 years before retiring. Freda took great pride in her home, including her yard and gardens. She was an accomplished seamstress, often sewing clothes for her family and friends, including her daughters' wedding dresses. She enjoyed making many curtains and draperies, and upholstering furniture. Since retiring at age 85 she has made well over 1,000 beautiful quilt tops for the quilting group at St. Paul Lutheran Church where she was also a member and former president of the altar guild.
Freda is survived by: two daughters, Susan (Allen) Lemke of Bonduel and Connie (David) Brath of Shawano; one daughter in law, Janice Krueger of Shawano; six grandchildren, Dr. Julie (Rev. Todd) Bonnin, Tim (Alyssa) Lemke, Liza (Brian) Briskie, Laurel (fiancé Kyle Williams) Brath, Robert Krueger, and Carrie Krause; seven great-grandchildren, Reece, Emma, Leif, and Sara Bonnin, Wesley Lemke, Dominick and Trevor Briskie.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Robert; her son, Robert J. Krueger; one great-grandson Riley Bonnin; her parents; five sisters; and one brother.
A funeral service for Freda will be held at 6:00pm on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bonduel with Rev. Mark Palmer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 4:00pm until the time of the service.
