Frederic Joseph Raasch, age 73 of the Gresham area, passed away Sunday, December 1, 2013 in Shawano. Born on May 25, 1940 in Shawano, he was the son of the late Henry and Elizabeth (Dillenberg) Raasch. Fred owned and operated Shawano/Gresham Sand and Gravel and was a member of the St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church in Gresham. When not working, Fred enjoyed hunting, fishing, building his own cars and racing at the Shawano Co. Speedway and creating mischief. He was united in marriage to Nancy Marquardt. Fred is survived by: his wife, Nancy; 2 daughters, Laurie (Rick) Peotter of Neenah, Christine Berkholtz of Tilleda; a son, Darold (Lorraine) Raasch of Gresham; 3 grandchildren, Nick, Holly Jo, Brent; and 3 sisters, Angeline Keating of Milwaukee, Mary Raasch of Sun City, AZ and Rita (John) Mondus of Shawano. Fred was preceded in death by: his parents; and a sister, Delores. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, December 6, 2013 at the St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church in Gresham with the Rev. David Barrett officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 9:00am until the time of the service.
