Frieda E. (Kaltenbrun) Voeks, age 102, of Shawano, passed away on October 16, 2014 at her home. She was born on March 1, 1912 in St. Nazianz to the late Anton and Mary (Stahl) Kaltenbrun. On May 27, 1933 Frieda was united in marriage to Wallace R. Voeks, who preceded her in death in 1998. Frieda was a member of Peace United Church of Christ in Shawano and was very active on the church counsel. She worked at Schultz Brothers Store for 10 years. Frieda was also Guardian and Grand-Guardian for Jobs Daughters, a grand officer for White Shrine of Jerusalem and a member of Order of Eastern Star. Frieda and Wallace spent their winters in Florida after they retired. Frieda is survived by two sons, Dr. Wallace Voeks of Hawaii and Dr. James (Mary) Voeks of Florida, one daughter, Jean Ann Voeks of Eau Claire, 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, one brother, Leo Kaltenbrun of Sheboygan and numerous nieces and nephews. Frieda was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace, one son, Roy, one daughter-in-law, Celeste Voeks, sisters Helen, Olivia, Viola, Gert and Angie, brothers Arhard, Edmond and Fred. Eastern Star and funeral services will be held at 11:00a.m. on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at the Peace United Church of Christ of Shawano with Rev. Marty Black officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Shawano. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30a.m. until the time of the service.
