Garon S. Roberts, age 90, of Keshena, passed away on Tuesday February 11, 2025, in Shawano. Garon was born on June 28, 1934, in Milwaukee to the late Vernon and Rose (Eisert) Roberts, Sr. In 1956, he was united in marriage to Lois Eichhorst in New Berlin, Wisconsin. Garon served his country proudly in the United States Navy. He was stationed in Hawaii and traveled to east Asia on a Destroyer. During his time in the Navy, he worked as a steamfitter. After he was discharged from the Navy he worked as a steamfitter in Milwaukee until retirement in 1990, when Lois and Garon moved to Keshena. Garon educated children on boater safety, jet skiing and developed the first program. He was an officer of the Lake District now known as Protection and Rehabilitation District. In Garon's free time, he enjoyed camping, watching the wildlife and was an avid hunter and fisher. There was nothing he couldn't fix; everyone knew him as the "fixer". Garon was a scout master and volunteered in the Knights of Columbus.

Garon is survived by his wife of 68 years, Lois; children, Rodney (Nancy) Roberts, Linda (Randy) Johner, Jeffrey (Wendy Eick) Roberts and Timothy Roberts; grandchildren, Jeremy, Jonathan, Kristofer, Kailee, Jessica, Kelle, Shannon, Yvonne, Brett and Jenelle; 11 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and siblings, Wesley (Marilyn) Roberts, Donald Roberts and Virgiely Dax. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Garon is preceded in death by his siblings, Vernon (Rita) Roberts, Jr., Clifford Roberts, Adoree (Galen) Brunner, LaVerne (Fred) Borchardt and Doloris (Alvin) Sova; sister-in-law, Connie Roberts; and parents, Vernon and Rose.

A funeral mass will be held at noon on Friday February 21, 2025, at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Keshena with Fr. Hanz Christian officiating. Visitation will be held at the David Barrett Hall on Friday starting at 10:00 am and continuing until the time of service in the church. Burial will be in the spring at the St. Michael Catholic Cemetery.
