Gary J. Cooper, age 67 of Embarrass, passed away Saturday, June 30, 2012 at his home. Born on September 2, 1944 in Shawano, he is the son of the late Merle A. and Marie C. (Nachtwey) Cooper. Gary lived in the Shawano area most of his life. He enjoyed riding his 4-wheeler, hunting, fishing and spending time at the cottage. Gary was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano and the Shawano Fly Club where he shared his love of flying radio controlled airplanes. Gary is survived by: 4 siblings, Mary (Ken) Williams of Texas; Dick (Faye) Cooper of Howard; Joseph (Sheree) Cooper of Madison; Patrick (Janet) Cooper of Hortonville and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano with the Rev. Len Evers officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the service.
