Gary L. Klean, age 85, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, in Neenah. Born on April 9, 1940, in Maywood, Illinois, to the late Oliver and Marian (Rahn) Klean. He proudly served in the United States Army Reserves. On November 4, 1961, Gary was united in marriage to Judith Ranz in Maywood, Illinois. He worked at Parker Hannifin in Broadview, Illinois for most of his life. He then moved to Wisconsin and furthered his career as a plant manager in Mauston, Wisconsin. Gary was known for being an avid Chicago Bears Fan and always found time to watch a game. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing, fishing, camping, trips to the casino and traveling. Gary was a humble and kind man. His wife and family were his pride and joy. He was also devoted to his faith and active in many of the churches he attended throughout his life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Gary is survived by his wife of 63 years, Judith; children, Jeffrey "Jeff" (Linda) Klean and Debi (Jason) Schmidt; numerous grandchildren, Emily (Geoff), Hannah (Greg), Olivia (significant other, Tanner), Destinee (Reed), Bobbi (Erik), Mike (S.O. Michelle), Ashley (Trevor); great-grandchildren, Nixon, Ainsley, Millie, Walker, Hudson, Simon, Graham, Riley, Max, Aarilyn, Levi and Elias; and sister, Janet Leslie. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Gary is preceded in death by his son, Tim Klean; sister, Ginny Klean; niece, Shannon Leslie; parents, Oliver and Marian; and many loving dear family members.
A celebration of Gary's life will be held on May 24, 2025, at Golden Sands Golf Course in Cecil from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm. In honor of Gary, any fellow Bear's fans to come dressed in their football apparel would be appreciated.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Shawano Health Services and the ThedaCare Hospice Team for the wonderful care given to Gary. A special thank you also goes out to all the family and friends for their continuous support.
In lieu of flowers, any monetary donations can be made to the Autism Society of Greater Wisconsin.
