Gene M. "Michael" Greene, age 56 of St. Charles, IL, passed away Monday, July 16, 2012 from injuries sustained in an automobile/motorcycle accident. Born on October 10, 1955 in Oak Park, IL, he was the son of Shirley (Spahr) Greene and the late Eugene Greene. After graduating from high school, Michael furthered his education and graduated from Northern Illinois University. He became a math teacher in U46 at the middle school level. He attended the Geneva Methodist Church in Geneva, IL and had previously attended Epworth Methodist Church. Michael was a loving father whose children were everything to him. He was a kind and caring man who willingly put others first and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Michael is survived by: his 2 sons, David (fiancée, Cassie Elders) Greene of Gilberts, IL, Steven (Katie Barnes) Greene of Kansas City, KS; his fiancée, Cathy Medema; his mother, Shirley Greene of Arnold, MD; and 2 brothers, Greg (Mary) Greene of MD and Don (Lisa) Greene of McHenry, IL. An Open House Gathering of family and friends will be held from 2:00-5:00pm on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Nick's Pizza & Pub, 990 S. Randall Rd., Elgin, IL 60123.
