Obituary

Genevieve "Jenny" Montez, age 89, of Keshena, formerly of Milwaukee, passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2017. Jenny was born on January 1, 1928 in Keshena to the late Theresa Whitney. On August 11, 1960 she was united in marriage to Pedro "Pete" Montez in Iowa. Jenny was a spiritual woman who loved music and dancing. Caring, loving, gentle, and kind, she never complained or spoke poorly of anyone, and her smile could light up a room. Jenny loved her family more than anything and cherished the time she was able to spend with her grandchildren. She was a wonderful, wife, mother, and grandmother and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Jenny is survived by: her husband of 57 years, Pete; her son, Peter (Linda) Montez of Menomonee Falls; three grandchildren, Brandon, Nicholas, and Isabella; four sisters, Sara (Terry) Mann, Carol (Ronnie) Skenadore, Clara Dixon, and Theresa Stahl; she is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Melissa and her mother Theresa (Whitney) Jeffery.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with Rev. Francis Zurbano officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00am until the time of the service.
