George T. Dillenberg, age 76, passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday March 13, 2024, in Appleton. George was born on November 14, 1947, in Fort William, Ontario, Canada to the late Louis "Pete" and Alice (Held) Dillenberg. The family moved back to the Shawano area in 1953 from Canada. He worked at Club Continental in Shawano during high school years. George graduated from Shawano High School in 1966. After high school, he went to Vocational Technical School in Green Bay. George worked as a machinist for 9 years in Milwaukee, then drove trucks for CTI in Milwaukee. He worked at Schnieder Trucking for 30 years before his retirement. George had the #2 spot for seniority out of 17,000 truckers, and was proud to have driven safely for over three million miles.  In George's free time, he enjoyed elk hunting and snowmobiling. He was a member of the St. Michaels Catholic Church in Keshena.

George is survived by his sons, George (Amy) Dillenberg and Christopher (Megan) Dillenberg and grandchildren, Kyler Dillenberg, Keaton Dillenberg, Lainey Dillenberg and Hattie Dillenberg.

George is preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Alice.

A memorial service for George will be held at noon on Friday March 22, 2024, at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
