George F. Reif, age 87, passed away on Friday, February 25, 2022 at his home. He was born on July 13, 1934 to the late Harry and Mary (Blythe) Reif in Antigo, WI. George was united in marriage to Barbara Fensky in Neenah on August 31, 1957. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. George was a crane operator and member of Local #139. He lived in Neenah for several years until moving to Shawano where he lived on a hobby farm and drove school bus. He was a member of the Clintonville American Legion. He and his wife enjoyed traveling. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed wood working and working on his retirement home by Bowler. George was an author and had published two books.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara of sixty-five years; children, Scott (Lana) Reif, Sam (Julia) Reif, Victoria (Chris) Pietz, and Misty (James) Jones; seventeen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; his siblings Jim (Sandy) Reif, Joy Steber, and Mary (Tom) Lukowicz.

George is preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Mary Reif.

A private family service will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with military rites conducted by the Clintonville American Legion Post #63.
