George William Tincher, age 85, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2022 in Shawano. He was born on June 16, 1937 to the late John and Isabel (Gillett) Tincher in Peoria, Illinois. George graduated from Bonduel High School and continued his education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He met Phyllis (Albrecht) in Madison and after graduation, they were married on October 12, 1957 in Cambria, Wisconsin. They farmed for ten years after George served in the U.S. Army. George worked at PepsiCo/Frito-Lay for thirty years in the Shawano, Wisconsin area and was a photographer for most of his life. Owner of Tinch Photography, George and Phyllis also owned and operated Tincher Warehousing and Tincher's Rock Acres for twenty-five years. After retiring from PepsiCo, George worked at his new interest in website development. He was a member and past Master of the Shawano Masonic Lodge #170, a member of Beja Shrine Temple (and official photographer for many years), member and past President of Shawano Shrine Club, member of Warren Chapter #8, Green Bay, past Worthy Patron Shawano Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, member of Palestine Commandery #20 Knights Templar, Green Bay, and a member of the American Legion.

George is survived by Phyllis, his wife of 65 years; their daughters, Patricia (Ron) Clark, Shawano, Barbara Stack, Appleton, and son, Charles (Susan) Tincher, Green Bay; as well as grandsons, Ryan (Brittany) Tincher and Jacob Tincher. He is also survived by his brother, Donald (Ruby Merry) Tincher.

George is preceded in death by his parents and his granddaughter, Katlin Tincher.

A public Masonic memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at the Shawano Masonic Lodge, 2324 E Richmond Street in Shawano. Visitation will be held at noon until the time of service. A memorial fund has been established with Shawano Masons Inc.
