Georgene M. Elm, age 54, of Keshena, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2017 in Milwaukee. Georgene was born in Shawano on May 13, 1962, the daughter of Betty Jo (Dickie) Feather and the late George Feather, Sr. She lived in the Keshena and Green Bay area most of her life, and worked at the Menominee Casino and Oneida Casino. Georgene was a big fan of Elvis and Shawn Michaels and collected porcelain dolls. More than anything, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Georgene is survived by: her children, JoAnn (Roger) King, Gary Lee (Monica) Feather and Lee (Brittnay) Martin; seven grandchildren, Shawn Heath, Karen Kirk, Roger King, Jr., Isaiah Feather, Biancka Feather, Kiaya Feather and Jeremiah Feather; her mother, Betty Jo Feather; siblings, Gerard (Yvette) Feather, Glenda (Joe) Keyser and Gale (Anita) Feather; nieces and nephews, Jacob (Jenny) Feather, Glenda Elizabeth, Nicky Feather, Kateri Feather, Gisela (Alex) House, Rebecca Keyser, Michael Feather and Adrian (Cat) Feather; and special family members, Shanta King, Antonio King, Kianna King, Charlene "Pookie" Peters, Madison "FuFu" Peters and Jose Smith.
She was preceded in death by: one granddaughter, Maiquanaisaa "Macy" Feather; her dad, George Feather, Sr. and siblings, Gary Lee Feather and Gisela Feather.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Keshena with Rev. Joel Jores officiating. Burial will be in Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery in South Branch. Visitation will be held at the Father David Barrett Hall in Keshena on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 4:00 pm until the time of the service. Swedberg Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. The family wishes for those attending Georgene's services to wear purple in remembrance of her.
