Georgia M. Washinawatok, age 74, of Keshena, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah. Georgia was born on November 6, 1945, in Keshena, to the late Peter Sr. and Theresa (Corn) Cardish. Georgia married Louis Washinawatok in Keshena. She worked as a residential aid at Maehnowesekiyah for several years. Georgia enjoyed camping at the lake any chance she could, she loved watching Monday night reality shows, planting flowers in the spring and summer, and she loved being with family and friends at Christmas. Georgia was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother and she loved spending time with her family.

Georgia is survived by: her husband, Louis; her children, Richard (Carmen) Doss, Sr. and Verdene (Adrian) Schlichting; her step-children, Scott (Melissa) White, Sr., Stuart (Nina) White, and Robin White; her siblings, Ellen Cardish of West Virginia, Leon Cardish of Keshena, and Gerald (Lynn) Cardish of Ohio; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Leo, Sandra, Lawrence, Edwin, Clifford, Peter Jr., Regina, and Wilson.

A funeral service will be held for Georgia at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Keshena with Fr. Joel Jores officiating. Visitation will be held at the Washinawatok residence, W2092 Keshena Lake Road, Keshena, from 4:00 pm on Thursday, February 20, 2020 until the procession leaves for the church on Saturday. A parish wake service will be held at the Washinawatok residence at 7:00 pm on Friday, February 21, 2020.
