Geradette, age 69, of Neopit passed away Friday October 4, 2024, in Madison. Geradette was born on September 8, 1955, to the late Ralph and Margaret (Penass) Richmond. She attended St. Joseph Indian School and Shawano High School, graduating in 1973. She attended Marquette University in Milwaukee. Geradette also attended University of New Mexico Indian Law School in Albuquerque where she received a certificate of Indian Law. She continued to Mount Scenario College in Ladysmith where she got her Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work. She was an advocate for the kids of the Menominee tribe and attended several meetings in Washington D.C. Geradette worked at Menominee Casino, Menominee County Human Services, Menominee Indian School District, and College of Menominee Nation. She served on the Board of Education for the Menominee Indian School District. Geradette was married to Wendell Joseph Pamaska September 30, 2024. She enjoyed shopping, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
Geradette is survived by her husband, Wendell; nephews, Craig (Luann) Richmond, Corey (Christine) Richmond, James Wayka, Chris Wayka, and Paul Wayka; great nieces and nephews, Keenan, Marissa, Kiarra, Vance, Destiny, and Evan Richmond who she called her grandson; and best friend, Kay Keshena. She is further survived by many other relatives and friends.
Geradette is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Paul Richmond; 3 sisters, Mary (Jimmy) Wayka, Rainelle Richmond, and Annette Richmond; and great nephew, Kyle "Kal" Richmond.
A prayer service for Geradette will be held at Dave Barrett Hall in Keshena on Monday, October 7, 2024, at 11am with Mr. John Teller officiating. Visitation will be held starting Sunday, October 6, 2024, in the afternoon. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery.
