Surrounded by his loving family, Jerry Rosnow, 91, of Shawano, peacefully passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2014. Born April 9, 1923, in Clintonville, Wisconsin, he was the son of the late Arthur and Dolores Rosnow. Jerry graduated from Shawano High School and attended UW-Madison. Jerry was united in marriage on June 10, 1950, to Guinevere (Gwen) Rosnow, who preceded him in death on December 17, 2012. Together they opened and operated Jerry's Live Bait and Liquor Store from 1952 to 2001. Jerry had an amazing memoryif he met you once, he never forgot your name. Jerry also served two terms as an alderman for the City of Shawano. His greatest passions were duck and deer hunting, trapping, and fishing on Shawano Lake. Jerry was known by many for his colorful stories and great sense of humor. Some of his favorite stories were of the years he hunted with Brett Favre. His favorite memories were hunting with his son, Bill, which he did up to age 90. Jerry is survived by three children: Dr. Jan Rosnow, Terri (Charles) Bridges, and Bill (Kathy) Rosnow; two grandchildren, Jeremy and Jacqueline Rosnow; and a sister Lois "Roz" (John) Rupple.
