Gerald Orrin Vele, aged 55, walked on Monday November, 28 2011 at his home in Wausau. Jerry was born on February 1, 1956 in Milwaukee, son of Elda (Stick) Vele and the late Adrian "Kanum" Vele. He was the fifth of nine children. Jerry lived in the Wausau area for many years. He enjoyed working as a handyman and helping other people. Jerry is survived by: his mother, Elda Vele; two sisters, Gloria Bruette and Cheryl Vele; and five brothers, Adrian (Jeannie) Vele, Jr., Dennis Vele, Jeff Vele, Scott (Becky) Vele, and Randall (Melissa) Vele. Jerry is also survived by many nephews and nieces. Jerry was preceded in death by: his father, Kanum; and his brother, Curtis Vele. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, December 2, 2011 at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Gresham with Jon Schedler officiating. Burial will be in the Gresham Public Cemetery.
