Geraldine Helen Hauk Geraldine Helen Hauk, age 86 of Shawano, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2015. Geraldine was born on November 15, 1928 in Gresham, the daughter of the late Joseph and Irene (Achten) Kort. On June 25, 1949 Geraldine was united in marriage to Arnold F. Hauk at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, St. Anne's Society Christian Mother's, a Cub Scout den mother, Girl Scout troop leader and a Brownie leader. Geraldine worked at Van Dyke Ceramics, North Air Sportswear and then for Dr. Gehr and Dr. Dahlie. She enjoyed playing cards in card clubs, rosemaling, and painting. Geraldine is survived by her children, Linda (Doug) Engel of Naperville, IL, Steve (Luella) Hauk of Shawano, Dan Hauk of Randolph, her grandchildren, Christopher Engel, Melissa (Kevin) Adlebush and Michele (special friend, John) Hauk and 3 great-grandchildren, Sydney, Kristin and Natalie. She is further survived by her brother, Ray (Marilyn) Kort of Birch Lake and numerous other relatives and friends. Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold in 2003, her parents, her brothers, Edgar and Roger Kort, her sisters, Nancy Melbauer and Pat Kuehn and her granddaughter-in-law, Jennifer Engel. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 26, 2015 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano with the Rev. Luke Ferris officiating. Entombment will be in the Sacred Heart Mausoleum. Visitation will be held at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano on Sunday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
