Obituary

Germaine June Frank, 78, of Cecil, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2017 in Green Bay. Born on June 10, 1939 in Shawano, daughter of the late Frederick and Leona (Hartwig) Hinkfus.  Germaine graduated from Shawano High School and on June 6, 1959 was united in marriage to John Frank at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano.  Germaine and John farmed together for many years.  She also worked in the deli at Sentry Foods in Green Bay for 11 years.  Germaine loved NASCAR, the Packers, and traveling with John.  The couple traveled all over including memorable trips to Florida, Hawaii, Mexico, and Branson, Missouri.  Germaine was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bonduel, a custom classic car club, and the FFA.  In her free time she enjoyed puzzles, playing bingo at Hillside, going to the Shawano stock car races and doing arts and crafts, especially ceramics.
Germaine is survived by: her husband of 58 years, John; a son, Kevin (Carla) Frank of Green Bay; brother, Werner (June) Hinkfus of Michigan; sister, Ruth Meddough of Florida; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by: two sons, Dennis and Brian; her parents; and a brother Frederick.
A funeral service for Germaine will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bonduel with Rev. Tim Shoup officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be held at Swedberg Wendt Funeral Home in Bonduel on Wednesday from 4:00pm until 8:00pm and again at church on Thursday from 9:30am until the time of the service.
