Germaine V. Kersten, age 77 of Bowler passed away on Friday January 13, 2012 at Theda Clarke Hospital in Neenah. Born on March 29, 1934 in Tigerton she was the daughter of the late Paul and Ida (Giese) Kriegel. Germaine graduated from the Bowler High School in 1952 and then from the Beautician School in Green Bay. She worked as a beautician for 10 years in Shawano and then returned to the Town of Seneca where she and her husband operated a farm. She married Wilbert G. Kersten on September 15, 1962 in Shawano. He preceded her in death on July 17, 2006. Germaine was a member of Peace Lutheran Congregation in Tilleda and the Peace WELCA. Germaine is survived by her daughter, Lynn Kersten of Bowler. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at the Peace Lutheran Church in Tilleda with Rev. Dennis Creswell officiating. Burial will be in the spring in the Peace Lutheran Cemetery, Tilleda.
