In Loving Memory of Gertrude Regina (Warrington) Tomow, age 74 of Keshena, who entered the Spirit World on Wednesday, October 05, 2011 at the Appleton Medical Center. Born on October 30, 1936 in Keshena, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Charlotte (Melotte) Warrington. On November 29, 1954 she was united in marriage to Chief Louis Andrew Tomow. She was a member of the St. Michael's Catholic Church in Keshena. Gertrude is survived by: 6 daughters, Regina Tomow, Edana Tomow, Debra Tomow, Brenda Kay (Rito) Tomow, Joleen Tomow and Davey (Ruben) Escalante all of Keshena; 28 grandchildren, Robert, Spring, Roxy, Travis, Jeremy, Matthew, Nathan, Nathaniel, Arriello, Brittani, Alvaro, Tiffani, Cassie, Anna, Jackie, Waylon, Shante, Duane, Dean, Keith Jr., Kiesha, Angel, Devin, Shania, Marissa, Samantha, Andrienne, Nicole; 23 great-grandchildren; and her brother, Joseph Melotte. Gertrude was preceded into the Spirit World by: her husband, Chief Louis Tomow on April 4, 1990; 3 daughters, Patricia Ann Tomow, Mary Charlotte Tomow, Audrey Kay Tomow; 3 grandchildren, Tyrell James Grignon, Shannon Marie Krueger, Jonathan Dylan Boyd; a great-grandson, Matthew Ricardo Escalante Jr.; her parents; and a sister Violet (Warrington) Tucker. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at the St. Michael's Catholic Church in Keshena with the Rev. Robert Rank officiating. Burial will be in the Our Lady of the Woods Cemetery in West Branch. Visitation will be held at the Davey and Ruben Escalante residence located at W2613 Chief Josette Road in the Warrington Addition in Keshena after 3pm on Thursday until the procession leaves for the church on Saturday. Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano is assisting the family with the arrangements.
