Glenda J. Marquette, age 61 of Shawano, passed away Friday, August 17, 2012 with her husband by her side. She was born in Suring on October 2, 1950, daughter of the late Charles L. and Frances L. (Long) Gordon. Glenda lived most of her life in Shawano where she met and married her husband, Larry A. Marquette on April 11, 1977. Glenda enjoyed Native American crafting and collecting wildlife and Native American artifacts. Glenda's favorite activity was spending time with her children and was especially proud of her grandchildren. She had a special talent for lifting up a person's spirit and making them laugh. She will be deeply missed by all of us. Glenda is survived by: her husband, Larry; a daughter, Shelly Kraly of West Ben; a son, Jason (Kristin) Marquette of Menasha; a stepson, Dave (Cheryl) Marquette of Cecil; 6 grandchildren, Jeremy Scheffner, Brianna Scheffner, Andrew Scheffner, Raven Marquette, Hunter Marquette, Maci Marquette; 3 step-grandchildren, Nicole Marquette, Amber Brown, Jeremy Brown; 3 sisters, Kathy Rodriequez of Green Bay, Janet Dahl of Shawano, Margaret Gordon of Shawano; and a brother, Charles Gordon, Jr. of Shawano. Glenda was preceded in death by: her parents, Charles F. and Frances L. Gordon. Glenda's wishes are being honored with no formal ceremony.
