Gloria Jean Peters, age 59, of Keshena, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay. Gloria Jean was born on June 28, 1961, in Shawano, the daughter of Gloria (Corn) (Peters) Miller and the late Alex Peters, Jr. She attended the Intermountian Indian Boarding School in Utah. Gloria Jean worked for Keshena Head Start for several years. She lived in Keshena all of her life. Gloria Jean enjoyed watching WWF Wrestling and baseball games, playing bingo, and cooking. Her children and grandchildren were her life and enjoyed helping her many friends.

Gloria Jean is survived by her mother, Gloria Miller; children, Elmer Kakwitch, Jr., Norman Kakwitch, and Kyle (Shari) Kakwitch; several grandchildren; siblings, Kathi White, Annette (Harley, Jr.) Peters, Alex (Olga) Peters, Joseph Peters, Harlan Peters, and Dale Peters; two godchildren, Tyson Peters and Marlayna Waukau; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her father, Alex Peters, Jr.; son, Roland Kakwitch; brothers, Gus and Tony Peters; and sister, Gail Peters; brother-in-law, Lee White; and nephews, Shane and B.J. Peters.

A graveside service will be held for Gloria Jean at 11:00 am, on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at St. Michael Cemetery with Fr. Nonito Barra officiating. Visitation will be at the Gloria Jean Peters Residence, N335 Pine Meadows in Keshena, beginning on Monday, July 20, 2020 at 2:00 pm until the time of graveside services Wednesday.
