Gloria graduated from Bonduel High School in 1948 at the age of 16. Her first job was at Wisconsin Michigan Power Company in Appleton and later worked at Badger Breeders (now known as CRI) doing secretarial work.

Gloria was a member of the Shawano Methodist Church joining on April 17, 1960. She served where needed and in her younger years she was a member of the Mary Circle. She liked to cook and bake and share her dishes with others. She loved flowers and watching numerous birds come to the feeders, especially the cardinals and orioles. She also liked to dance, play sheepshead and dominoes. She enjoyed her get togethers with the Shawano Singles group. Lunches with her Dominoes ladies group were special to her as well. She always took the time to visit with people whether she knew them or not and she loved children. Gloria was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching the Packers and Brewers play. She and her husband had Packer season tickets for many years; even attending the Ice Bowl game. Her most enjoyable games were watching Brett Favre quarterback. To her he was the greatest of all time.

Gloria's greatest pride and joy was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were her precious jewels; she held very close to her heart. She attended the various sports they participated in and was so proud of them. Their greatest fan!
