Gordon "Ole" Rudolph Sorenson, Sr., 86 of Bonduel, WI passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2017, surrounded by family.  He was born June 22, 1931 to Rudolph and Laura (Johanna) Sorenson.  On December 28, 1955, he was united in marriage to Shirley Krause in Michigan.

Gordon loved to work.  He was a self-employed business man for over 60 years.  He loved to farm and had a passion for buying and selling real estate and timber.   Gordon is survived by: his wife, Shirley of 61 years; son, Gordon Sorenson, Jr.; special friends Kathy and Mandi; daughters, Chris (Randy) Opperman, Judy (Dan) Hawkinson, Mary (Dennis) Przybylski; sisters, Verdell Payne, Jean (Darrel) Kralovetz; 14 loving grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews, as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Gordon was a loving father, husband, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to all. Gordon is preceded in death by: his parents; sister, Phyllis; brother, Robert and grandson, Bobby.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, July 21, 2017 at Hope Community Church in Shawano with Rev. Scott Ludford, Pastor of Zion Lutheran Church, officiating. Visitation will be at church from 9:00 am till the time of services. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Shawano. Gordon's family would like to extend a special thank you to the Birch Hill Nursing Home for taking care of Gordon the past two years and to Swedberg Funeral Home for all the funeral arrangements.
