Obituary

Guido Paul Furloni, age 82, passed away surrounded by his family at Shawano Health Services on Wednesday November 22, 2023. Guido was born on May 23rd, 1941, in Kenosha Wisconsin to the late Ulysses and Jenny (nee Meo) Furloni. He was raised in Kenosha and graduated from Bradford High School. After graduation, Guido started working with American Motors as a factory worker.  He then joined the US Army and served with the 37th Armor (Tank) Battalion as a Sergeant. Upon completion of his honorable service in 1964 he returned to Kenosha working at American Motors. Guido was a polyglot speaking four different languages: English, Russian, German and Italian. He also enjoyed martial arts achieving his black belt in Karate. Guido met his lovely wife Ruth Ann in Kenosha and married on March 28th, 1986. After he and his wife retired from Chrysler (former American Motors) Guido and Ruth Ann made the move to Shawano Wisconsin. They were a united pair, always together where they shared passions and hobbies like gardening, hunting, fishing and trap shooting. He also enjoyed making fishing lures and bird houses. Guido enjoyed the outdoors working outside making beautiful fences and patios around their gardens. The more his family grew and flourished (which included 3 sons, 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren) so did his heart. Most of the happiest moments in his life were spending time with his family out on the boat, goose hunting in Canada, visiting children in California and Missouri, attending school's events like Grand Parent's Day, music programs, plays and sporting events. Guido cared for and raised four Labradors, Shadow, Buddy, Brutus and Jasper and a turtle, Annie.

Guido is survived by his wife of 37 years, Ruth Ann, sons; Todd Hansen, Tim (Nancy) Hansen, Tom (Christine) Hansen, grandchildren; Rebecca Hansen, Anthony Hansen, Kristina Hansen, Ryan Hansen, Katherine Hansen, Timothy (Olivia) Hansen, Brittany (Marquise) Chavez, Jeremiah (AnnaLee) Hansen, Alex Hansen, Sean (Alicia) Hansen and Madison Hansen and great grandchildren; Kaleigh, Elainna, Josephine, Jackson, Owen, Addilynn, Alexis, Riley, Logan, Emelia, Luke, Eleanor, Olivia and Jameson.
