Obituary

Harlon Keith "Harley" Wright, age 76, passed away on Sunday December 14, 2025, at his home in Bowler. Harley was born on April 4, 1949, in New London to the late Gerald and Imogene (Delzer) Wright. He graduated from Kimberly High School and helped his father framing houses. On May 30, 1970, Harley was united in marriage to Diane Feistel until her passing on April 15, 2001. He worked as a millwright at Appleton Paper Mill until retiring in 2004. On March 7, 2009, Harley was united in marriage to Mary Paiser at St. Paul Stony Hill Lutheran Church. The couple owned and operated the Wright Place Bar and Grill in Tilleda until April of 2025. He was a member of the Kimberly Fire Department, Waupaca County Tavern League and Tilleda Sno-Riders/ Tilleda Fun Dayz. Harley was a big fan of Jeff Gordon and Robin Yount. He was the go-to guy if you needed a part to fix something.

Harley is survived by his wife of 16 years, Mary Wright; children, Mark (Melissa) Wright, Scott Wright and Kerri Mader; his dog, Buttons; four grandchildren, Tyler (Natalie), Chloe, Haley and Wyatt; one great-grandchild on the way; brother, Terry (Linda) Wright; sister-in-law, Corrine Wright; brother-in-law, Don Van De Loo; in-laws, Bonnie Paiser, Thomas Paiser, Ron Magolski, Sandra Paiser, Ray (Judy) Begrow and Jeff Paiser. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Harley is preceded in death by his brother, Lenny Wright; sister, Barbara Van De Loo; parents, Gerald and Imogene Wright; in-laws, Bill (Sally) Hoef, Betty Magolski, Peggy Paiser and Jim Paiser; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert and Helen Paiser.

A memorial service for Harley will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday December 20, 2025, at St. Paul Stony Hill Lutheran Church with Rev. Colin Moon officiating. Visitation will be held at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano on Friday December 19, 2025, from 4:00 pm until 7:30 pm then will continue on Saturday at the church from 9:30 am until the time of service.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors and nurses at St. Elizabeth Hospital. The staff at Compassus Hospice especially Hank, Kim and Roxanne. A very special thank you to Jenene Forstner for all the help with care for Harley. To all the family and friends that have reached out whether by visiting, texts and calls mean so much to Harley and Mary.

Harley, I really don't know how to be here without you. I know you will be watching from Heaven. You showed me how to love, trust in myself and had fun for 24 ½ years. We faced everything together I love you more than words, till we meet again. Love you, Mary.
