Harold W. Hendricks, age 89, of Bonduel, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at his home surrounded by his family. Harold was born, May 2, 1928 in DePere, son of the late Antone and Wilhemina (Van Lanen) Hendricks. On October 2, 1952 Harold was united in marriage to Rosalie Hermus at St. John's Catholic Church in Seymour. Together the couple raised seven children. Harold enjoyed working in farming, milk hauling, trucking, and excavating throughout his life. He was a member of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Cecil where he volunteered as an usher and the Knights of Columbus where he was a fourth degree knight and was the chairman of the Special Olympics council. He was also a volunteer fireman for the Hobart Fire Department for several years. In his free time Harold enjoyed playing cards, playing the accordion and working on small engines. He loved the special time he spent hunting with his brothers, sons and grandsons. He truly loved his family and cherished the time he was able to spend with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Harold was a "wonderful" husband, father and grandfather and will be deeply missed by his friends and his family.
Harold leaves behind: his wife of 64 years, Rose; seven children, Chris (Deb Jenquine) Hendricks of DePere, Vicki (Howard) Paape of DePere, Sue (Paul) Heyrman of Bonduel, Mark Hendricks of Green Bay, Kim (Stuart) Sorenson of Bonduel, Cary (Lori) Hendricks of DePere and Kurt (Joan Van De Wettering) Hendricks of Pulaski; 20 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; siblings, Orville (Evelyn) Hendricks of Oneida and Eleanore (Dan) Gauthier of Texas; two sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Hendricks of DePere and Evelyn Hermus of Kimberly; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many special friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Marie Peters, Henrietta Christensen, Wilbert Hendricks, Norbert Hendricks and Rita Boyea.
A funeral mass for Harold will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 3, 2017, at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Cecil with Rev. David Barrett and Deacon Mike Grezca officiating. Entombment will be in Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum in Green Bay. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
