Harry F. Beilfuss, age 89 of Shawano, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2012 in Shawano. Born on July 5, 1923 in the Town of Hartland, he was the son of the late Ewald and Margaret (Strutz) Beilfuss. On August 28, 1943 he was united in marriage to Wilma Beyer at the St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano. The couple lived the early part of their marriage in Shawano before moving to Port Washington where Harry worked as a mechanic and electrician for FMC, retiring in 1986. The couple returned to the Shawano area in 1992 and were members of the St. James Lutheran Church. Harry was also a lifelong member of the Shawano County Fair Grounds and enjoyed working at the Stock Car Races for many years. In his free time he also enjoyed hunting and fishing. Harry is survived by: his wife of 69 years, Wilma; 3 daughters, Bonnie (Gerald) Cope of Dutton, VA, Barbara (Tim) Schmid of Shawano, Bette (Jeff) Quade of Saukville; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 3 siblings, Marvin (Beatrice) Beilfuss of Sturgeon Bay, Elaine Gueths of Shawano, Gerald (Pat) Beilfuss of Clintonville; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He is further survived by: a brother-in-law, Harold Beyer of Shawano; 2 sisters-in-law, Adeline Beilfuss of Shawano and Janet Beyer of Shawano. Harry was preceded in death by: his parents; 2 brothers, Allen and Jimmy; a sister, Ruth Scherf; a brother-in-law, Arnold Gueths; and 2 brothers-in-law, Donald and Earl Beyer. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at the St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano with the Rev. Ted Andrada officiating. Burial will be in the Lake Drive Cemetery in the Town of Wescott. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday after 9:00am until the time of the service.
