Harry W. Herm, age 93 of the Town of Washington, Shawano County, passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2012 in Green Bay. Born on May 26, 1919 in the Town of Washington, he was the son of the late Paul and Elsa (Gierra) Herm. Harry lived in the Shawano area all his life. On June 2, 1945 he was united in marriage to Elnora Retzlaff at the St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano. Harry owned and operated his own dairy farm then worked as a manager for Ardex All American mineral company until retiring in 1984. He was a member of the St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano. Harry is survived by: his wife of 67 years, Elnora; his daughter, Sharon (Reuben) Langhoff of Shawano; his son, Ken (Mary) Herm of Shawano; 7 grandchildren, Brian (Rebecca) Langhoff, Elsa Kay Langhoff, Dana (Jennifer) Langhoff, Darci (John) Beatty, Kelly (Jennifer) Herm, Keith (Jennifer) Herm, Chris Herm; 12 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Edna Mueller of Shawano. Harry was preceded in death by: a son, Karl in infancy; his parents; his twin brother, Harvey; and 2 sisters, Lucille Gast and Lavern Reinke. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with the Rev. Ronald Raddatz officiating.
