Harvey Leslie Kroening, age 87 of Stockbridge-Munsee passed away February 15, 2023 at his home, surrounded by his children. Harvey was born August 23, 1935, he was the son of the late Alex and Julia (Lang) Kroening. Harvey was born in Tilleda at home. He grew up in Tilleda, and Marion on the Deick Farm. June 22, 1957, united in marriage to Linda Lee Miller, at the Lutheran Church of the Wilderness. Linda proceeded him in death on June 10, 2004. After marriage Harvey and Linda resided in Shawano, Clintonville and Clover Leaf Lakes until moving to Stockbridge-Munsee in 1971. Some of the things Harvey enjoyed were riding motorcycle, playing cards and family oriented activities. He was also skilled in doing mechanics, auto body and a painter. Harvey worked at FWD- Seagrave for many years before retiring.

Harvey is survived by his sister, Pearl Plauster, 101 years young of Marion; four children, Lai Lonnie (Marty) Kosowski of Stockbridge, Craig (Rhondalyn) Kroening of Stockbridge, LaNette Kroening of Stockbridge, LaVonne Kroening of Stockbridge and Carol Kroening; 17 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and siblings, Sheila, Leah, Dick (Pat), Tammy (Squirt), Carl (Nita), Kristy (Randy), Molly (Lloyd), Jimbo (April), and Corine.

He was welcomed home in heaven by his wife, Linda. Along with his parents, Alex and Julia Kroening; his siblings, Alex, Marvin, Opal, Faye, Bernice and Arvid, Oscar, Alfred, Babe, Julie, Hank, Jerry, Doats, Matt, Martin and Melvin ; his son, Leslie; and 2 great-grandchildren LaRenz and Nyasia.

Funeral service for Harvey will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at the Lutheran Church of the Wilderness with Pastor Paul Johnson officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday, February 18, 2023, starting at 9:30 am until the time of service. Burial will be in the Stockbridge Burial Grounds. Military honors will be conducted by the Gresham American Legion Post 390.
