Harvey H. Moede, age 87, of Shawano, passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2019. Harvey was born on August 9, 1932, in Bonduel, to the late Louis and Martha (Dehn) Moede. Harvey proudly served his country in the United States Army. On April 26, 1953, he was united in marriage to Donnalea Rae Hanke. Donna preceded him in death on July 2, 2015. Harvey was a member of St. James Lutheran Church and served on their Board of Trustee's. He was a member of the Shawano American Legion. Harvey was a member of the Shawano Fire Department for several years. He was the past owner of Moede and Sons. He lived in the Bonduel and Shawano area all of his life. Harvey enjoyed working, fishing, and spending time with his friends.
Harvey is survived by: his daughter, Jayne (Mike Lewandowski) VanOss; his son, Scott (Sue) Moede; his grandchildren, Curt Moede, Timothy (Carrie) Moede, Benjamin (Erin) VanOss, Valen Brandner, and Jackie (Rick) VanOss; and his great-grandchildren, Christian, Noah, Serenity, Bridgett, Riley, Jayden, Ariella, Jenna, and Caitlyn. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, and his brothers, Warren and Lester.
A funeral service for Harvey will be held at 11:00 am, on Friday, December 27, 2019 at St. James Lutheran Church with Rev. Steve Schauder officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Graveside military rites to be performed by the Shawano American Legion. Visitation will be held on Friday at church from 9:30 am until the time of service.
