Keshena Seestedt

Henry "Hank" Keshena Seestedt, age 73, of West Virginia, formerly of Keshena, passed away on November 29, 2016. Henry was born in Keshena, on June 13, 1943, to the late Henry Clare and Rita Ann (Keshena) Seestedt. His service in the United States Navy from September of 1965 until October of 1969, included the following: he was a Naval Flight Officer, Reconnaissance Attack Navigator in RA5C reconnaissance aircraft, a Vietnam tour in 1968 aboard CVA USS America, 62 combat missions over North Vietnam, awarded 5 Air Medals, Navy Commendation Medal with Combat V device, National Defense Medal, 2 Vietnam Service Medals and Vietnam Campaign Medal, with Honorable discharge with rank of full Lieutenant. After his discharge, he attended UCLA and graduated in 1975, with a BA in Math, followed by UCLA Graduate School of Information Science in 1978. Hank's position as Network Engineer with Dell Systems Department of Homeland Security in Arlington, VA was fulfilling, yet allowed him to enjoy other activities, such as earning a black belt in Karate. He love cars and was a MOPAR enthusiast, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Most importantly, Hank was a wonderful father and loving husband. Henry was proud to be an enrolled Menominee.
Hank is survived by his wife of 49 years, Barbara (Walters) Seestedt; his son, Walker Seestedt; his daughter, Rian Seestedt and his brother, Matthew Seestedt. Hank is further survived by other relatives and friends.
A prayer service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 5, 2016 at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with the Rev. David Barrett officiating. Traditional services will follow, conducted by Mr. John Teller. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Inurnment will be in Rest Haven Cemetery at a later date.
