Henry R. Rudesill, Sr., age 80, of Gresham, passed away on Monday, February 20, 2017 in Shawano. Henry was born in the Town of Red Springs on May 16, 1936, the son of the late Thomas and Imelda (Miller) Rudesill. He graduated from Gresham High School in 1955 and lived in the Gresham/Bowler area all his life. Henry served our country by enlisting in the Army during the Korean Conflict. On June 22, 1963, he was united in marriage to Shirley Welch. He worked at Menominee Tribal Enterprises and retired after 19 years and enjoyed gardening and woodworking.
Henry is survived by: his wife of 53 years, Shirley; their children, Bernard Rudesill, Lillian (David) Beilke, Linda (Tom) Rudesill, Leatha (Raymond) Liebe, Henry (Judy) Rudesill, Jr and Kenneth (Abbey) Rudesill; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and three brothers, Keith (Claudetta) Rudesill, Mike (Evonne) Rudesill and Andy (Sue) Summer.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, William; his parents; and three siblings, Tom, William and Betty.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, February 24, 2017 at Swedberg Funeral Home in Gresham with Rev. Scott Ludford officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the Gresham American Legion Post # 390 and the Mohican Veterans. Burial will be in the Red Springs Cemetery in the Town of Red Springs. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 am until the time of the service.
