Herman Daniel "Flea" Peters, age 57, of Shawano, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2020. Herman was born on February 28, 1963, in Oconto Falls, to the late Orvis and Patricia Anne (Shivener) Peters. On October 8, 1988, Herman was united in marriage to Carmella Waupoose at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Neopit. He was the Director of Building and Grounds for the Shawano and Menominee School districts. Herman was an avid sportsman who loved the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers and Wisconsin Badgers. He enjoyed spending time in the woods hunting, fishing, and cutting wood. Herman was a very friendly and outgoing person who had many friends. He especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandson.
Herman is survived by Carmella Waupoose; his children, Carissa Peters and Kenzie Peters; grandson, Mikeseh; siblings, Richard (Katie) Peters, Janice Peters, Lynn (Don) Collins, Jody Peters, Doreen (Ken) Ebben, Karen Peters, George Peters, Joe Peters, John Peters and Patricia Peters; his dog, Nick; and brother in law and close friend, Kenny Johnson; and brother and sisters-in-law, Lisa Peters, Robert Johnson, Mary Beth Pecore, Ruth Waupoose, David (Jill) Waupoose, Sr., Marlin (Jerilyn) Waupoose, Sr., and Annmarie (Kenneth) Johnson. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Mike Peters; one sister Alice in infancy; sister, Noreen Johnson; father and mother-in-law, Gordon and Constance Waupoose; brothers-in-law, Wayne Pecore, Jr. and Gordon "Sonny" Waupoose, Jr.; and nephew, Talon Peters.
The family of Herman would like to extend a special thank you to the Menominee Tribal Clinic, Fox Valley Cancer Center and ThedaCare at Home Hospice.
