Hilda F. Yeager, age 84, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, in Suring, Wisconsin. Hilda was born on July 29, 1941, to the late Edward and Ella (Braun) Mayer, Sr. She graduated high school in West Bend, Wisconsin. In 1998, Hilda was united in marriage to Leland Yeager; he preceded her in death in 2004. She enjoyed cheering on the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers. Hilda had a beautiful smile that could light up a room and was a wonderful woman who could be sassy at times. She loved to tell stories, fishing and camping. Hilda’s family was her world, and she cherished all the memories she made with her grandchildren. She was an amazing mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend; she will be deeply missed.
Hilda is survived by her children, Jerry Wienke, Edie Dey, Michelle (Steve) Laduron and Leiloni “Loni” Cloutier; grandchildren, Micheal (April) Dey, Lea Dey, Lauren Dey, Kymberley Wienke and Mikey Cloutier; great-grandchildren, Addalynn, Ella, Talan “T.J.”, Arthur and Olivia; and sister, Ruth Zeckmeister. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Hilda is preceded in death by her husband, Leland; siblings, Marion, Roy, Mary, Eddie, Lester, Henry, David and Robert; and parents, Edward and Ella.
A celebration of Hilda’s life will be held at Memorial Park in Shawano, Lincoln Street Shelter on Sunday, May 31, 2026, from 2:00pm until 4:00 pm. Packers and Brewers gear is encouraged.
