Howard R. Mueller, age 86, of Bonduel, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 in Shawano. Born September 26, 1929 in Bonduel, the son of the late Charles and Mathilda (Rabe) Mueller. After graduating from Bonduel High School he enlisted in the United States Army and served our country honorably during the Korean War. On June 25, 1960, he was united in marriage to Mary Elizabeth Van Roy at St. Joseph Catholic Church in De Pere. Mary preceded him in death in February of this year. Howard owned and operated Chief Pontiac GMC Truck Sales, currently Chief Automotive, in Bonduel for many years. In his free time Howard enjoyed restoring cars and refurbishing juke boxes. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bonduel, the Bonduel American Legion Post #217, the Lions Club, and formerly the County Board.
Howard is survived by: his children, Jeff (special friend Kate) Mueller, Peter (Beth) Mueller, and Thomas (Laura) Mueller; four grandchildren, Maxwell Mueller, Harrison Mueller, Rachael (Nathan) Orlando, and Rebecca (Sean) McDonald; one great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn and one great-grandson, Griffin. He is further survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Mary Mueller, his sister, Corrine Anderson, sisters-in-law, Alyce (Ralph) Stahlberg and Kathleen Schneider, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by: his wife of 56 years, Mary; a son, Adam in infancy; a brother, Charles; his best friend, Lorenz Froelich; and his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bonduel with Rev. Mark Palmer officiating. Military Honors will be conducted by the Bonduel American Legion Post #217. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday, July 1, 2016 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm and again at the church on Saturday from 9:30am until the time of the services.
