Howard Harold Redeker, age 86 of Shawano, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2013 at a local nursing home. Born on December 22, 1926 in Two Rivers, he was the son of the late Edward and Ella (Duesing) Redeker. Howard grew up in the Two Rivers area and lived in Thiensville. After graduating from high school, he enlisted with the United States Army to serve his country during World War II. On September 10, 1955 he was united in marriage to Ruth Rahmow in Two Rivers. Howard worked as a tool & die maker for various manufactures until retiring. After retiring, the couple moved to the Shawano area in 1992 where Howard enjoyed hunting and fishing. Howard was a member of the Frieden's Ev. Lutheran Church in Bonduel. Howard is survived by: his wife of 57 years, Ruth; 2 sons, Michael Redeker of Milwaukee; Edward (Cindy) Redeker of Fond du Lac; 2 grandchildren, Charles and Heather; a step grandchild, Mike (Christina); 2 great-grandchildren, Tucker and Rylee; a step great-granddaughter, Jozzlin; and a sister, Florence Buvid of Two Rivers. Private family services will be held at 11:00am on Monday, May 20, 2013 at the Swedberg-Wendt Funeral Home in Bonduel with the Rev. Virgil Hanson officiating. Burial will be in the Frieden's Ev.
