Iann Simon, age 94, of Shawano, passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2022. She was born on December 17, 1927, to the late Walter and Anna (Erickson) Sporisky in Wausau. Iann grew up in the Wausau area. She was united in marriage to Lester Simon on April 24, 1954 in Bonduel. They farmed in the Bonduel area for many years until moving to the Shawano area. Lester preceded her in death. Iann enjoyed bowling, stock car races, fishing, crocheting, sewing and socializing since she loved people.

She is survived by her children: Jim (Rebecca Foltz) Zwick, and Randy (Laura) Simon; grandchildren, Charity Van De Boom, and Bradley and Derek Simon; brother, Stanley Sporisky, three great-grandchildren Jaeven Van De Boom, Hadley and Mason Simon; and special friend, Trevor Clark. She is further survived by nieces, nephews and friends.

A graveside service for Iann will be held in the spring at Woodlawn Cemetery. Swedberg Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
