Obituary

Idabell Marie "Ike" Geringer, age 87, of Shawano, passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2017. Idabell was born in Shawano on June 14, 1929, the daughter of the late William and Ottelia (Pehlke) Schwenkner.  Ike loved living on Shawano Lake and being outdoors, fishing and cutting the grass.   She enjoyed going out for dinner and working on puzzles.  More than anything, Ike loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Idabell is survived by: one daughter, Barbara (Jeff Orlowski) Nelson; five grandchildren, Tina (Nathan Aerts) Geringer, Kari (Jay Flores) Nelson Flores, Mark Nelson, Patrick Geringer and Jeffrey Geringer; eight great-grandchildren; as well as her siblings, Shirley Giessel Timm and Roger (Gladys) Schwenkner, as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her son, Allen J. Geringer; her parents; and siblings, Raymond Schwenkner and Norma Haeflinger.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with Rev. Timm Griffin officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, March 10, 2017 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm and again on Saturday from 9:30 am until the time of the services.
