Idabelle Mary Zahn, age 94 of Shawano, passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 in Neenah. Born in the Town of Waukechon, on August 27, 1924, she is the daughter of the late Elmer O. and Ida W. (Jantz) Gehm.  On June 1, 1946, at Peace United Church of Christ, Idabelle was united in marriage to Melvin Zahn.  He preceded her in death on March 21, 2007.  Idabelle enjoyed knitting, crocheting, doing cryptograms and word searches.  Idabelle loved playing her concertina.  She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Shawano.

Idabelle is survived by: her children, James (Sherry) Zahn of Amherst, Robert (Kathryn) Zahn of Shawano and Kathleen (Richard) Gruenewald of Hortonville; seven grandchildren, Lindsay Zahn, Brandon (Kristin) Zahn, Kari (Kole) Ewoldt, Scott Gruenewald, Tricia (Matt) Catlin, Christopher (Rosaria) Zahn and Alison (Matt) Davies; 10 great-grandchildren; as well as her sister-in-law, Bernice Zahn of Clintonville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin; one grandson, Robert Zahn, Jr.; her parents; and her brother, Gerald Gehm.

Funeral services for Idabelle will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Zion Lutheran Church in Shawano with Rev. Lois Graper officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9:30 am until the time of the service.  Swedberg Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
