IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Inez Hunter
Moses
January 12, 1930 – May 5, 2020
Inez Hunter Moses, age 90, of Gillett, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Shawano. Inez was born on January 12, 1930, in Jasper, Florida, to the late Rube Sr. and Beulah (Merrit) Hunter.
"Grandma Inez" met her man, the love of her life, Sonny Moses, in her hometown of Jasper, Florida. They were united in marriage on March 10, 1944 and their story began. Being a child of the depression, Inez learned young how to survive. Through many moves, working hard and raising a family, they finally settled at Berry Lake. She and Sonny started and built their business where people came to fill their tanks with gas and their bellies with her famous huge steaks and fry bread. Many locals recall Sonny's store and Inez's penny candy.
Inez and Sonny's Thunderbird Supper Club and store still operates today, serving as local landmark. Inez enjoyed traveling with Sonny. Many winters were spent traveling to Florida and Mississippi. Inez always brought a carload of souvenirs back for the kids.
Inez loved supper clubbing and sampling the local cuisine. As an avid reader, she could always be called upon for sound advice, especially when the topic was health. Inez loved the Green Bay Packers but mostly Brett Favre.
Inez loved and doted upon all of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, especially "Saint Dylin"! Inez will be forever loved and greatly missed!
Inez is survived by: her daughter, Pat (Wilson Dickenson) Moses; her son, Richard (Beth) Moses; her daughter-in-law, Yvonne Kaquatosh; her grandchildren, Wanda Moses, Rick Moses, Jeremiah (Jennifer) Moses, Dakota (Adriana) Moses, McKayla Moses, Misty (Daniel) Wayka, Louis Moses III, Tammy Moses-Metoxin, Peggy Moses, Trevor (Linda) Moses, Lianna (Mike) Moses, BJ Aragon, Kristi (Craig) Wescott, Bob (Cassidy) Parduhn, Melissa (Jim Leisner) Bezio; numerous great-grandchildren; her sister, Nettie Bell; as well as nieces, nephews, and many, many friends.
She was preceded in death by: her husband; her son, Louis Moses, Jr.; her grandson, William Parduhn; her parents; and her siblings, RB Hunter and Ida Whittman.
Private family services will be held due to current restrictions on gatherings.
