Ione Elizabeth (Cook) Tomow, age 83 of Suring, passed away on Monday, March 8, 2021. Ione was born on October 23, 1937, to the late Henry and Evangeline (Wilber) Rabideaux in Keshena. On December 27, 1958, Ione was united in marriage to Albert Cook, Jr. at St Michael's Catholic Church in Keshena. Albert preceded her in death on May 29, 1998. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church. Ione loved dancing at the casino, known to many as "the dancing queen", and listening to the bands. Ione loved to laugh, everyone knew her by her infectious laugh. She enjoyed sharing stories with her family at the lake lot, as well as chatting over coffee and doughnuts around the table. Ione loved to make her family meals and had a sweet tooth for Blue Moon Ice Cream. She loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren as well as other relatives' children and grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Ione is survived by her children, Jennifer (s.o., James VanSwol) Cook, Albert III (Sarah) Cook, Stuart Cook, and Angela Cook; 13 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Frank (Diana) Rabideaux and Kay Cook. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband; her son, Michael Cook; parents; and siblings, George, Elizabeth, Henry, Al, Linda, Mary, John, Sharon, and Darwin.

A funeral service for Ione will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, March 12, 2021 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Keshena with Fr. Nonito Barra officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and again on Friday at the church from 9:00 am until the time of service.
