Irene Reneta Robinson, age 89, passed away peacefully, Thursday, May 24, 2012 at the Shawano Medical Center after struggling with congestive heart failure. Born on May 22, 1923 in Thorpe, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephina (Przybylski) Kinas. On July 16, 1949 she was united in marriage to Earl D. "Curly" Robinson in Las Vegas, NV. The couple ran several area businesses over the years including, The Fly Inn in Clintonville, The Home for Elderly Men in Gresham, and Curly & Irene's Bar in Navarino just to name a few. Irene enjoyed crocheting, playing cards and board games, doing word puzzles and reading. She was an avid Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers fan. She was also a woman of faith and spent much of her time reading her Bible and in prayer. Irene loved being with people and had a huge heart. She would help anyone in any way she was able. Irene is survived by: her daughter, Nettie (Dave) Rottier of Shawano; 2 stepdaughters, Betty (Karl) Jonnson of Gresham, Shelly (Paul) Rabe of Texas; 9 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 4 great great-grandchildren; and a brother, Louie Kinas of California. Irene was preceded in death by: her husband, Curly on December 15, 2004; 2 sons, Pat Dorgan and Bill Robinson; and her parents. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at the Assembly of God Church in Morgan Siding with the Rev. Randy Stocksdale officiating. Burial will be in the Gresham Public Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday after 10am until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
